Skills, MCP and custom bots
Extend the desk with the vendors' own skills, MCP servers, and bots you add.
Skills
- Two skills ship with the desk:
deskfor chat-to-chat control andsetupfor adding bots and references. - Settings → Skills lists skills from the Grok, Codex, Claude and Cursor homes on this machine, searchable by name, origin, or what it does. A skill can be pushed back to a vendor.
- In a chat, a skill is a command:
/skill-nameasks the vendor to use it, following its SKILL.md. Codex and Claude also answer/skills.
MCP servers
MCP servers attach to a runtime, with the same approval and result path as built-in tools. Custom Anthropic Messages and OpenAI Chat Completions bots can use configured MCP servers through that same path.
